Need serious help, very frustrated. About two months ago i had Limewire, worked perfectly, downloaded fast, now for the past 2 weeks i've had it and it doesn't download correctly. MY CONNECTION IS ABSOLUTELY PERFECT. All 5 bars are filled green and im behind 2 firewalls, windows and Mcafee AND BOTH ARE EXCEPTING Limewire and everything associated with it. Whenever i download a file with my perfect connection it says Need More Sources and if i click on add more sources it doesn't do anything and it downloads at 1 KB/s AT BEST, usually it doesn't do that. THis is really pissing me off. thanks |

The same thing's been happening to me...I'm not sure how I fixed it, though...so I can try to talk you through some of the things I've done. What have you tried so far? One of the things I did was delete my limewire preference folder. Here's a link with directions: Fixes for Limewire Another thing I did: I changed my speed in Limewire from Cable/DSL to T1 to T3...this is not generally recommended. But, in the screen with the bandwidth allocation for downloads, Cable/DSL maxes out at about 43 kB/s at the 100% marker. I know from experience that I can download faster than this...the T1 setting goes up to about 120 kB/s. Right now I'm downloading at around 300 kB/s...so I thought T3 was more appropriate. I have a registry clener...I use Registry Mechanic, but here's a link to some recommended freeware. Go to #26. http://www.techsupportalert.com/best..._utilities.htm Last edited by muhctekdano; January 13th, 2007 at 11:27 PM. |

It's not that big of a deal since I already have a lot of songs on my computer from having Limewire a while ago. But yeah, i'm not sure if people can download from me because I haven't been able to download anything in a while. Also, how do I change my listenning port? Because i figure i'll try that. |

I did that and it changed to like 1 kb/s or 2 kb/s and i feel as if i can do better than that as some stuff i download from other places go at 450 kb/s or more. It has been changing from like 1 kb/s to 2 kb/s to 0 kb/s simultaneously and it's pretty slow and i have a feeling it will go to "need more sources" pretty soon |

Ok well one download finished after a long time of changing from 0 to 1 to 2 kb/s and the other one has been awaiting sources for a while and also, these are songs which shouldn't take long on a fast connection like mine. If anyone has any more suggestions ill try anything thx |
