firewall? what the ****

i've been on limewire for a while 0 problems, but now i have the brick wall. windows firewall is off, i tried the 6346 port, no luck. (ext. cable modem at home) can my internet provider effect this? slow connect speed periodically.

Someone please help. I've been using Limewire Pro for a long time before this, and only recently, I've not been able to connect through. I've read through most of the posts/threads, and tried following some of the steps, but am still not able to get a connection. My firewall is turned off, and never has been switched on. Why issit a problem now? I dont think this relates anyhow to the Taiwan server crash, because my friends are able to connect to limewire. I would really appreciate any help given. Thanks!

7. Where are you trying to connect from (home, school, work, etc.)? [B][/B******
8. What version of LimeWire (LW) & Java do you have? (Go to LW's menu Help>About LW...) Will show both LW & Java version. LW Ver. 4.12.10 & Java Ver 1.5.0_10
9. Who is your ISP provider (Internet Service Provider)? Streamyx
10. Do this simple test for us. Using your browser go here: http://www3.limewire.com:6346/ The page should say 'Your test worked!'. What happens when you go there? "Your Test Worked!"
11. Are you sharing the connection with other computers or p2p sharing programs? If yes, please give details of set up. Only running Bitcomet 0.70
12. Is this a your 1st try at LW or is this a new problem with an experienced user. New Prob - Experienced User
13. Do you see a brick wall in front of the blue world icon at the bottom of LW's interface? Yes

Hi Grandpa,

Thanks for the link. Still, I dont quite see how it solves my problem. I dont know if you have an answer ready for me, but are there any steps I can use to troubleshoot this problem? Its getting really frustrating, as no other p2p works on my system. And now, Limewire is acting up as well. Never had a prob b4 this. Really weird.
Please I really really could use some help on this.
