4. Hard Disk space available? 60gb
5. Connection type? (eg: dialup, broadband, cable, etc.) Broadband
6. Modem & router brand name & model numbers? Modem:Aztech DSL 350E Router: Linksys BEFW11S4
7. What version of Limewire (LW) & Java do you have? Limewire 4.12.6 Java 1.5.0_10
8. Who is your isp provider (Internet Service Provider)? Streamyx ( Malaysia)
9. Are you sharing the connection with other computers or p2p sharing programs? No
10. Do this simple test for us. Using your browser go here: http://www3.limewire.com:6346/ The page should say 'Your test worked!'. What happens when you go there?
It says 'Your test worked!'. It Works

I have trouble connecting to Limewire, Bitcomet, iTunes and every p2p program. I had no problem about a month ago till recently. I have tried everything from reformatting my computer, router setting and configuration of norton but nothing helps. :bangh:
I have also contacted my ISP and they told me that they are not blocking any p2p.Everything is allowed. My brother can connect to limewire and we use the same connection. But we both cant connect to itunes store. It says connection not active.
This is pretty weird.
I hope u guys can help me out here
Thanks

wondering why January 19th, 2007 12:37 AM

It's your ISP, there have been so many people comming on here in the last week or so asking the same questions invloving Streamyx ....
The fact that you have mentioned not being able to access the itunes store has deffinatley confirmed what I have found with google...

There has been a lot of users from Malaysia with the same problem, but question is whether it's the ISP or the broken cables after the earthquake in Taiwan. That even affected Australia & a no. of asian countries for a period. Time will tell. :)

yeh..i think its the broken cables cos my ISP keeps denying everything.
Thanks guys for the replies

i have the same prob... i do believe it got something to do with streamyx... the weird part is when i connect the internet via dial up connection thru my notebook internal modem (tmnet via 1315) my limewire works FINE?? Crazyyyyy!

jimbo-ice January 19th, 2007 04:07 AM

wow i got the same problem, check my thread if you want, you might find something useful, but what are you guys talking about with broken cables?

zulazmin2 January 19th, 2007 04:30 AM

cable problem

well on the 26th DEc 06 a major earthquake shook taiwan.. severing underwater telephone cable there which unfortunately hosting much of asia, australasia and part of US servers... lets just say all hell broke loose that day, Malaysia internet connection colapses for a few day...and till now the net connection is only up to 80% so i guess thats is the reason why some of us cant use limewire or other PnPs. but why can I still use limewire using a 56k modem? but not on a broadband connection?

jimbo-ice January 19th, 2007 04:56 AM

the earthquake didnt have us, but we had some kid of power outage type deal, it was a bad one and it pretty much blew up everyones electronics, but like u said zulazmin2, i can connect using dialup but not cable internet :\

zulazmin2 January 19th, 2007 05:04 AM

which part of US are you? we might encountering the same prob originating from the same source..i read somewhere that Pnp programes are being disabled by some ISPs to facilitate other much more important programes such as webmail etc.. and they are not telling us anything.. i have read you threat... and your isp's are doing the same thing as mine....DENIAL

zulazmin2 January 19th, 2007 05:06 AM
