Long time LW user but having probs with this new install

LW pro 4.10 It starts up and says connecting but it never goes any further. It also shows LW has detected a firewall, yet my XP fw is turned off. I am using a router, but I never had this problem with my previous LW install.

You have me puzzled here. LW 4.10 came out one year ago. So I'm not sure what you mean "new install". And the most recent official release is LW 4.12 which came out 6 months ago. Are you sure you got LW from the "Official" site? http://www.limewire.com/english/content/download.shtml

I had to reinstall my LW because I reinstalled Xp.

K. Can you possibly furnish those details such as router details, etc. This will help even if it doesn't apply to the final answer.
