Default Cannot Connect LW .....

I've read the Thread about solution to connection problems ...
I live in the middle east but I have Mega Star sattlite connected to London
and I am not that expert in internet connections .. I need you guys to help me connect lime Wire.

These details will hopefully help us System details - help us to help you (click on link). However we don't get lots of Satellite users. Certainly in the USA, Satellite providers will often stop uploading via p2p programs. Many UK ISP's are reknown for shaping p2p bandwidth.

According to my check your ISP is NATHER JEDDAH, does that sound correct?
I've a suspicion Mega Star is the type of satellite dish.

Ok there's not a lot of information about satellites & their problems. Not easily solved in my experience. Go to LW's menu bar, Tools>Options>Advanced>Firewalls & change the Listening port to one between 49152 - 65535. A good one to try is 64049. Then restart Limewire. See if that helps. Give it plenty of time to try to connect. And look at the Connections window & tell us if you see LW trying to connect & if it has connected to any ultrapeers or not.

after one minute of restarting LW and putting the recomended port ..
it gave me this message:
your machine does not appear to have an active internet connection or a firewall is blocking Lime wire from accessing the internet

... I have the internet connected and the firewall is turned off

Please help ...
