Can't Connect...PLEASE HELP!!!
 
1. OS version? Windows XP
2. What firewalls you have?Windows Firewall (disabled), Norton Internet Security Firewall (configured to allow LW)
3. How much ram?256MB
4. Hard Disk space available? about 70 gigs (I think)5. Connection type? (eg: dialup, broadband, cable, etc.) Broadband DSL (through satelite)6. Modem & router brand name & model numbers? Linksys Network Everywhere 4-Port Router Model NR041
7. Where are you trying to connect from (house, appartment complex, school, student accomodation, work, etc.)?House
8. What version of LimeWire (LW) & Java do you have? (Go to LW's menu Help>About LW...) Will show both LW & Java version.LW: 4.12.6 Java: 1.5.0_09
9. Who is your ISP provider (Internet Service Provider)?Bee Creek Communications
10. Do this simple test for us. Using your browser go here: http://www3.limewire.com:6346/ The page should say 'Your test worked!'. What happens when you go there?Your test worked!
11. Are you sharing the connection with other computers or p2p sharing programs? If yes, please give details of set up.Connected to my XBOX also but its not on right now
12. Is this a your 1st try at LW or is this a new problem with an experienced user.It's been like this for a while I just haven't gotten around to trying to fix it. It used to work fine.
13. Do you see a brick wall in front of the blue world icon at the bottom of LW's interface?Yes, even when I disable ALL of Norton Internet Security


PLEASE HELP ME!!!! Getting really frustrated :bangh:

Your router has an internal firewall.
If the router supports UPnP, enable it & then choose the UPnP option within LW's tools > options > advanced > firewall config. If that doesn't help, you could try port forwarding. There are instructions for your router below

Don't forget to set up a static IP first, you'll find instructions within the port forwarding guide. Remember that LW's listening port & the port forwarded must be the same number;)

You could also try reconfiguring your Norton firewall if neither of those suggestions works.

Thanks so much birdy. It worked perfect. No more firewall picture. Finally fixed it!!!
