hi, how do I get my VLC player to be my default player when I try to preview a download to make sure its what it says it is, I get WMP which can't play the movie because it doesn't have the codex, I know the VLC will play any thing.

Go to your shared folder outside of limewire (to find this click on one of your files in your LW library and click on explore)

Once you have your Shared folder...
Right click on one of your files
select open with
select choose program
select VLC
and tick the box that says always use this program for this file type...
Click ok...

I did that Wonder Why, but all it did was let the VLC player play the video files in my folder, it hasn't stoped WMP from opening up when I click on preview in LW I like it so when click on preview in LW The VLC player opens up

Limewire is known for this little glitch, the Beta version 4.13 allows VLC to preview whilst in Limewire...If you want you can either download the Beta Version or install the codecs for WMP...
