I to am having trouble connecting to limewire like alot of you,but what I would like to know is when I click on direct connect mt IP number is different every day.I am trying to share files with a friend but I have to email him with the new number.Is it possable to get the same direct connect number for every time I log in.

Its your ISP that alocates your address and with some,mabe all, not sure
You can get a static IP for extra cost per month some may offer this free
you must check with them.

Hi Mick,I am with Tiscali & have been reading the problems people are haveing as I am having the same problems with connection.Sometimes I can get on & at other times no luck.I have changed the port number so I will see what happens with that.Thanksfor the info & Peace to you to.There is not enough of it in the world now,and as an old hippie it was nice to see someone using it.

You may have to change ports sevral times a day
once Tiscali notice you using P2P they will do what they can to stop you
