Unhappy LW 4.12.11 can't get connected

Hi

Can't get any connections since updating to LW 4.12.11. This problem has only just started LW has been ok up to now. When I check the Connections page in LW it says "connecting" and Protocols says "0.6" sometimes if recheck the connections page there is no info in there at all??? I've done the test that the forum suggest and get the "Your test worked " page.

I've uninstalled and re-installed nothing works???
Dunno...I'm stuck plz help

Firewwall seems ok. LW is on my Exceptions list and should be allowed access

Running Windows XP SP2
AMD 2Ghz processor
160 gig HD (loads of free space)
512 megs memory
LW 4.12.11
Java 1.5.0_09

Tiscali. Ouch.

Search the forum for Tiscali & you'll see a lot of people are in the same boat.

can't connect between 5pm-11pm
Tiscali blocking Limewire
Limewire working perfectly - now not at all !!

I have found a solution to getting Limewire to work with Tiscali

Have a look through those threads. See if the solution works for you. You'll also find more info about changing ports within a couple of threads

I tried all this but got no joy

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I tried the port scan but it's all new stuff to me, I dunno the range of ports.

Tried changing ports in LW to the ports reccomended on the forum i.e 4443 and 5190 and 5566 but got no joy.

Do I have to change both listening port and Manual Port Forward ? because i've tried both that and just leaving the Use UPnP but nothing has worked.

Is this definatley an ISP issue as I've used Tiscali for years with several different file sharers and never had this problem until a couple of days ago?

It's a bummer

Try a port between 49152 - 65535 (say 64049)...see if you have any luck.
The port number in the port forward box & LW's listening port must be the same number.
