Default No Gnutella connections

I have a Windows XP operating system.

I have used Limewire in the past and everything was ok until I formatted my hard drive and had to re-install it. I downloaded the offline downloader, installed the program, then it succesfully got connected, only There wasn't any action going in the "connections" card. I re-installed the program, tried to change my preferences, tried to disconnect and connect again... Nothing changed. I still can't get any connections and I can't use the program!

Fairy Queen Hi.
Is your windows XP firewall turned off ?, if not, turn it off n restart comp
then try with L/W.
Kaspersky F/W may need permisions deleted n reset.
All feedback helps others so let us know how you get on.
Peace.

I have put Limewire in the exceptions list of Kaspersky but the wall still appears in the LW window. And the XP firewall is off...
How do I delete permissions? :/

Kaspersky is a little weird with this. It has different options for Anti-Hacker, Anti-Spam, Anti-Spy, File, mail and Web Anti-Virusand Proactive defence. I tried to exclude Limewire from all the lists but to no avail...

Hi Fairy Queen.
I see no one has added to this, So can you try Putting the Kaspersky CD in
the CD drive, Dont press Run, open the CD files and look for info file n click on that. Instructions on HOW to, should be there somewhere,
As a temprey mesure, just to see if Kaspersky is the prob, You could disable
Kaspersky, (TEMP) and switch XP-firewall on.
Do this with L/W off. Then Turn L/W on, XP-F/W should now ask to let L/W have full access. Give Full Permision. Dont run your computer without a firewall. Weee will get there in the end, need help with any of this just shout
Peace.
