OS X:
/Users/your_username/Library/Preferences/LimeWire

Windows:
C:/Documents And Settings/your_username/.limewire

Linux:
~/.limewire

Please shutdown any instance of LimeWire you may have running, delete the whole directory, and then restart LimeWire. You should be able to connect.

I'd love to hear how this works for everyone.

Thanks!

If using Windows XP or earlier see: http://www.gnutellaforums.com/window...tml#post183932, (or post above it if you started with an earlier version of LimeWire.)

If using Windows VISTA see: http://www.gnutellaforums.com/genera...der-vista.html

If using Mac OSX see: Deleting LW Preferences folder in OSX

Your Wireless device will have NAT which acts like a firewall. If it does not use UPnP or use it very well, then you may need to port forward the device. User Cant Connect - LimeWire. Despite what LW says, modems & routers are a frequent problem because not all have reliable UPnP.

Also If LW Will Not Connect (click on the blue link)

For wireless help. Brand & model would be a help.
