![]() Hi ......hope somebody out there can help me please !!! I've just installed LW v.4.12.11 and it seemed to have gone smoothly..... When I open from the shortcut on my desk top the Lime Logo comes on with wording across the bottom saying "Loading HTML Engine..." and the Limewire setup dialog box opens... Everything goes well until I get to the " Scan for Files " page ... if I select no and press enter ....nothing happens... it just stays on that page.... So then I have to go back to the start of the dialog and when I get to this page again I then say "yes"....and it appears to " Scan Hard Disc"...thats fine Then the page " confirm scan" comes up....and this is where the real problem is.... It says that the folders below have been identified as ones I would like to share....." Theres about 5 folders.....and if I select all or some or deslect all or some it does not move from this page ????? i'm just stuck there !!!!!!! ( in the mean time the Lime logo is still going with the words across the bottom "Loading HTML Engine...") I have tried everything......even when this page appears and I just select enter (without selecting or deselecting any folders) it just closes the program ???? Mate ...this is frustrating the hell out of me...... I hope some kind soul will take the time to help me out... Cheers and thanks in advance !!!!! |

![]() Reinstall Java. Use the JRE offline installer here & remove your old version of Java before you install the new one. http://java.sun.com/javase/downloads/index.jsp Now reinstall LW & make sure to use the offline installer (not the recommended one). No need to uninstall your original LW, it'll do that automatically when the new version's installed ![]() http://www.limewire.com/english/content/download.shtml See if that helps! |

![]() Erk...I don't know ![]() Download the latest LW Beta & see if the same thing happens. You can download the Beta version from the normal LW download page. After you install the Beta version, delete LW's preferences folder. Make sure LW's not running (check in task manager). See point 3 below. Fixes for LimeWire Did you download the original LW (that you installed first) from www.limewire.com ? |
