Default Connection problems with D-Link

Hello,

Can someone please help me. I received a D-Link wireless router and now I cannot connect to Limewire. I tried everything. Also, were can I force an Ip address in Limewire?

It sounds like you will need to Port Forward can you supply these details so I can have a good look at your set up please...Don't forget the model number of your D-link...

Hi,

Here's the information:
1. Router: DI-624, Router: Arris TM502G
2. Windows XP
3. WIndows Firewall, Norton Security.
4. connect cable
5. company: Videotron
6. 30.6Gb-C, 3.0GB-D
7. Connect in the house
8. Limewire: 4.9.23, Java: 1.5.0_02
9. New problem when I got the D-Link wireless router.
10. Yes, I see a brick wall.

Here are the instructions for you to Port Forward your D-link router, don't forget the static IP part it is very important....

Hi Again,

I followed the instructions, but the listen port keeps defaulting back to 6346.What should I do?

now the listening port is at 60000 and the manual at 50000 in limewire but in the virtual it is allowed at 50000.

The manual and the listen ports have to be exactly the same number and they have to be exactly the same as the number you used in the port forward instructions...
When you have entered the numbers into limewire make sure you click on apply...

yes, I understand..but for listen port it is saying that 50000 is not available? Should I start over? Tks!

I would start again, you shouldn't have to do the static IP part again though, once you have one you can Port Forward other apps without re-doing it...
Try using 64049...

Thank you for all your help, but it's still not working. I will have to perhaps get a professional to take a look or/and call the D-Link company. If you have any ideas...feel free!
