I automatically installed some updates for windows, and after that I notice that Limewire WILL connect, but the firewall brick now appears in front of the little globe at the bottom of the page.

There already is a Limewire exception on my security options.

What other steps can I do to remove the brick wall?

I'm not so computer savvy. So please give me very specific and simple directions.

This happened to me as well. I have Limewire clicked as an exceptions as well but still have a brick wall in front of the world icon. Was working before microsoft updated?

You may have to go through and redo the exceptions you've made for LW. Are you using the windows firewall?
