Please help, i cant connect :(

Hi all
Im not knew to limewire as on my last laptop it worked great!!
I have a new laptop which i have had for about 6 months now. As soon as i had it i loaded up limewire but havnt used it. Now recently i have tried using it but i cant connect. I have removed limewire completley from my laptop and reinstalled but the same trouble. I have noticed that when i enter limewire and go to the help menu at the top, icant access the forum link or FAQ link from the title bar. I could do this beforre onn my old laptop.
Below is a list of my details as requested:

1) Windows xp2000
2) The one that comes with windows ( NOD 32 Anti Virus too)
3) 50GB
4) 2GB free
5) Broadband connection
6) Bt voyager 2000 wireless router (same as before)
7) Connecting from my house
8) Limewire 4.12.11 & Java 1.5.0_06
9) Tiscali is my internet provider (UK)
10) yes, 'your test worked'
11) not connected to other computers but use azeureus for file sharing (which works fine)
12) new problem and i have used programme before
13) yes there is a briick wall

Hope these details help and you guys can help me get connected to Limewire again

Try uninstalling your Java from the add/remove programs and then re-install the JRE offline version....(5th one down)

Then uninstall Limewire using the uninstaller which is found in start > all programs > limewire...then re-install it using the offline installer...

If that does not help with your problem try deleting your preference folder...

See if that helps any if it doesn't let us know and we can troubleshoot some more...

Hi Mate,
i think i was a bit quick in saying everything was great
When i use limewire now, the search brings up the choices list (which i wasnt getting before) but when i am trying ti downloaded it just says need more sources. All my downloads are on 0% and stuck. I have even tried downloading something popular like a madonna song but i get the same problem. Any ideas WW????

It could be one of two things, it's either fake files....This thread will explain all about them..

Or something going wrong within the preference folder, try deleting it and see if that helps...(It's the 3rd option in the post above)...
