crash on load (using win2k)

i just reinstalled my computer with win2k and installed limewire 2.0 (unfortunately even though i was happy w 1.7 i couldnt seem to d/l it).... i installed it (it installed the jre for me as well) ... and now when i try to lead it, it crashes right after the initial lil rectangle picture... the grey box comes up and *CRASH*! thats it time after time, reboot after reboot.... help?
