What's the model of your wireless router(example - WR850G). It probably needs configured for LW to work. See this thread: Connection problems? Check here first! |
ISP blocks 6346/6347 my ISP (cableone.net) blocks ports 6346/6347. How do I change the port in limewire? |
In LW go to Tools>Options>Advanced>Firewall Config, and you can change the listen on port from there. Try something from 50000 To 65000. If you port forward, the listen on port and the port forward should be the same number. Press apply after making changes and you may have to restart LW for the changes to take affect. |
pick something between 50000 and 65000? You mean just pick a number or does it have to corespond to something? |
Pick a number like 64049. Sometimes isp's don't block the ports in that range. It's pretty much a shot in the dark. Here's some others to try: 1111, 3500, 4008, 1203, 80, 20282, 10000, 443, 40475. In case your wondering, I got those numbers from this thread: http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showth...14&#post179814 |
