 LimeWire may not be this far along yet but if the host is completely unavailable (not on the network) or refusing the connection outright the download would fail faster to avoid hammering the IP. If the host is actually there but busy the download attempts would continue for a longer period of time. This may not be case...but it is an idea.  |
