details:
!.Windows XP
2.the standard firewall
4.around 20Gb
5.DSL
6.modem-toshiba, router-speedstream
7.house
8.java-6.1, LW-4.12
10.cannot find seerver
11.no
12.Yes
13.Yes
all unanswered questions i don't know.

also, i have deleted the .limewire floder and tried re-installing the java and lime-wire and it still doesn't work

Who do you pay, for your internet connection (ISP) ???
Also can you have a look underneath your speedstream router and tell me what the model number is...

Ok...The port Forwarding site doesn't have a link for the 4200, but it does for others I will give you the link and you will have to have a look and see which one looks the same as your router set-up..Start with the 5200 and then you will have another page pop up, scroll down to L and click on limewire...

Oh the reason is your router has more than likely got an inbuilt Nat Firewall....I have searched the internet for the exact instructions, but I have had no luck..I think most of the speedstreams should be similar...
