Pops up on screen, goes away, and then nothing....
 

I saw a post on the connection forum somewhere but can't find it. I was having the same problem connecting to Limewire. It's worked fine for days, then today, when I tried to open it up it would pop up on my desktop, go away and nothing. Literally nothing happened. I tried everything possible. Firewalls, uninstalling/reinstalling both Limewire and Java but nothing worked. I read on here there was a problem with Java. At the Java site I couldn't find anything useful. So I chose another option, I uninstalled both Limewire AND Java. I then reinstalled Limewire. Limewire automatically installed Java for me. When it was done, Limewire opened up pretty as you please. Now whether this was a fluke or not I don't know. I just know it worked for me. Hope this helps someone else.
