Angry Inability to connect to Limewire

I am contacting you to tell you that until last week, I was able to use Limewire. Now, I get the error no connection/no files to share. I have 176 files to share. Limewire will NOT connect. I get 1 little green connect box. I have used it for years to download music. What is going on?

I have an iMac G3 OS 9.2.2. I have over 400 songs in my itunes folder. I shared my music. I have DSL. I am very angry that I can no longer download music from your site. Is this how you treat your clients?

Please help. I miss my Limewire

There is no 'site'...when you download music, you download it directly from other computers with users just like you.

None of us here work for Limewire. We are just Limewire users like you who like to help...

We'll need some more information before we can help:

It is quite possible that your ISP is now throttling P2P usage, if you check the current discussion here:

http://www.gnutellaforums.com/open-d...ling-isps.html

You will find that "P2P throttling" by ISPs is a worldwide problem.

By the way, if you do a "search" in this forum for "Verizon", your ISP, I am sure you will come across other LW user who believe that Verizon is now blocking their P2P usage.
