Try deleting your LW Preferences folder whilst LW is closed; instructions here: Point #2 & 3 in Fixes for Limewire (sample image included at bottom of page.) If still no good, can you answer these: System details - help us to help you (click on blue link) |

1. User Cant Connect - LimeWire 2. Connection problems? Check here first! (click on link) Probably a firewall issue then. But sometimes Java 1.6 doesn't work well on some people's systems with a particular LW version. So using the Add/Remove control panel to remove all Java versions & then install this version fixes it: Java 1.5 (take the JRE) BTW have you defragmented your computer recently? |

I have the same problem as "disneygirl2000". I followed all your instructions. When I got to the part where I have to give a log in a password it would accept any of the "hundreds" I tried. I even reinstalled my Internet. I new at this posting thing and I'm not even sure I've posted to the right place. |

I wad trying to do the port forwarding and one of the instructions was to put my IP in a web browser. When I did that a window popped up and it said to put in a log in and password. I found a suggestion for "admin" and password blank. I tried my personal passwords for access to my computer. They didn't work either. Would Mazilla Foxfire have blocking capabilities in it? |
