I've never experienced a problem before with LM untill I reformated my drive and installed a new anti-virus program (Micro Trend PC Chillin) and updated my LM to the latest version. I've already tried disabling my firewalls with no luck. LM remains in "starting connection" status, never changing. It cant be my router because LM was working through it before with no issues. I beleive it has to do with the new anti virus but I've done everything I found to do online. My anti virus program is allowing LM and I've even added in the exact ports with no luck. ANY HELP here would be greatly appreciated.

I found this and this worked great for anyone who was having this issue...

"I did a search in files and folders and windows found gnutella.net I right clicked on it and renamed it to gnutella.old I closed the search box and fired up limewire and it connected like it used to before after about 30 seconds. Thank you very much for your post, everything else I tried from this thread failed to work. very simple solution to a frustrating problem, thanks again. "
