I had connection, now i don't
 

limewire worked perfectly for me for a couple of days, then it just simply stopped working!

the program opens fine, but then whenever i search for a song, it says the limewire is connecting, and i may not get complete results until it is completely connected.

i use wireless internet, but i know my internet's fine because i use the web browser.

i use sygate anti-virus, and so far, i've only found ways to make exceptions to scanning certain files....so maybe that's the problem? i just don't understand why limewire worked for me for a little while, then suddenly my connection isn't good.:bangh:

if someone could give me step-by step instructions (since i'm not very computer-knowledgeable) to possilble solutions, that would be awesome. thank you so much. your help is more appreciated than you know.

First thing to try: Delete LW's preferences folder when LW's properly closed. See point 3 here & also point 2 if you've used older versions of LW in the past (there could be a folder in either location).
Fixes for LimeWire
This will kill all of your settings within options, you'll have to go back through afterwards & reset things. If you're not sure of your settings, go through LW's tools > options & write them all down, so that you can reset things later.

Do you also have the Sygate firewall? If so, make sure that the Windows firewall is off & configure Sygate to allow LW.
