Default limewire freezing and not responding

Hello I need help. We just bought a computer and installed limewire on it. It has been working for about 2 months. after not using for a couple of days, we tried to get on it and after we double clicked the icon, the window would come up and when the little notice box comes up to ask to update to pro it just freezes. I try to close the box and does not work. Everything else works, start menu, internet, but clicking anywhere on the limewire window it does nothing. then i have to ctrl alt delete and end task. please help me!!!!!!!

i hade the same problems downloding things back onto my computer i would just go to control panel< add and remove programs and uninstall it i think it helps to not have anything runing at the time besids your enternet explorer i dont know about windows vista yet.

Uninstalling via add/remove programs can cause problems & people end up having to search their computer to remove leftovers. The correct way to remove LW is either to install a new version (automatically removes the old one) or start > all programs > limewire & use the uninstall option from there

I was going to say it could be your firewall blocking it but it opens but im not sure it might be getting blocked.
