 I have TRIED EVERYTHING! Please HELP! (LW won't connect) I have a Dell Computer running Windows XP with 60GB of free space. I currently have a Roadrunner Cable Internet Connection with a Scientific-Atlanta Inc. Modem. It doesn't say which type of modem it is but it has 5 lights (PC, Cable, Data Send, Data Recieve, and Power). The only light that is not lit is Data Send, while PC and Date Recieve both flash. I have no trouble using the internet and connecting, but I cannot connect to limewire and I have NO IDEA WHY! I turned off my windows firewall, so that wouldn't be an issue. Just in case, I also added the correct ports to the exceptions list in the firewall menu. I have no other security program installed on the PC. I checked with Roadrunner and they said that they have no proxies in place and that they do not prohibit or block the usage of P2P programs. I am OUT OF IDEAS. I am usually pretty good with computers, but I have no idea how to fix this problem... HELP PLEASE?!? (thanks in advance)  |

| Oh Sorry, I forgot this info: I tried the test page and it said "the test worked successfully!" I also have 256 RAM... The only thing that I haven't tried is messing with Java because I am not sure what to do in regards to my Java. Thanks! |

| If you have a look underneath the modem, it will tell you the make and model number, could you tell me what that is...if these tips don't work...  Try uninstalling all versions of Java from the add/remove programs and then re-install the JRE 5.11 offline version.... Archive: Download Java 2 Platform Standard Edition (J2SE) 5.0 Update 11 If that does not help with your problem try deleting your preference folder/s... Fixes for Limewire when LW isn't operating as it should
