Default version 2.0? Ha, Ha, Ha!

I too paid for the Pro version of 2.0. I actually think this was a waste of time. I could not find near as many files showing up in searches as I use too. In fact my searches produced so few results that I thought gnutella and gone belly up! The new version would NOT show me how many hosts I had access to, or how many TB of files I could search. Version 2.0 Pro was practically DEAD in my opinion.

Thats when I downloaded the old 1.7 version, and did a direct comparison. Believe me there is a distinct difference between the two. Searching both versions using the same keywords, and version 1.7 produced more results (sometimes 50 or more) when version 2.0 produces NO results. Limewire suckered me out of 6.00 Dollars, but I am using 1.7. I actually want results when I search, and I want to know how many users are using and how big the bucket is I am searching. Version 2.0? Ha, Ha!

LimeWire 2.1.1 and above should display 3 or 4 times as many search results as LimeWire 2.0, so I strongly recommend that you give it a try if you have a chance.

It also, of course, includes important features like swarm downloads.

Default 2 x 0 = ?

So...

1) 'Unregistered' states that version 2.0 "produces NO results"

2) Your statement "display 3 or 4 times as many search results as LimeWire 2.0"

Hmmm.........

Default Why not

Hey I have been using LimeWire since it first came out and I always loved looking down in the left corner to see just how many people were on. It helped me to find some really rare stuff. Now Its just like a window with no options at all. This ultrapeer thing sucks because I can only get like 20 others max. It used to be I could get between 8 and 9 thousand hosts. What did you guys do? I thought since the other Limewires were so good, then the 6 bucks would make them even better, but I was wrong. I cant find anything I want now, So I went back to 1.7. I dont care about features, its being able to find and download stuff that is what most of us care about.

Lime Wire You disapoint me.

(My Opinion)

The statistics in previous LimeWire versions as well as in the current version do not accurately reflect the number of files available. This is because it's tricky to collect accurate date on a fully distributed network, and because collecting accurate data would require significant bandwidth. We chose to leave more of your bandwidth for uploads and downloads at the expense of providing you with good statistics.

I would recommend judging the program by what you are able to find, not by any statistics that you see.

LimeWire 2.0 Sucks, LimeWire 2.1 Sucks, LimeWire 1.8 Rules.
simple why the hell have people invented the whole Ultrapeer thingy. IT DOES NOT WORK!!!, an also 2.1 on OSX "flashes" again (that's not so important). I hope that other 2.x will fix the damn program that i liked so much. And i have the impression that LimeWire tends to disconnect me from my ISP. Thank you for your time.

We implemented UltraPeers because they will (and have) dramatically increased the number of files available while using far less bandwidth than previous Gnutella implementations (for most users). They also make connecting to the network a much simpler process.

I apologize if this has not been your experience.

When you say it flashes, are you referring to the continual redraw that sometimes occurs when you expand a group of search results, or something else?

Thanks.

Yes, it does work. My search results have dramatically *increased* since I upgraded to version 2.1. Moreso than in any previous verson, ever.
