Uploads: "Couldn't Connect"

Hey folks,

I'm trying to be a good Limewire user and share as many files as possible.

When I look at my Monitor window, some uploads go through fine, but MANY of them say "Couldn't Connect". Is this normal, or is there something I could do to make it easier for others to reach my file? (I've devoted 100% bandwith and allow freeloaders -- what am I missing?)

Couldn't connect means the push request failed. If you are behind a firewall try forcing your IP in the options.

Ok, what if that doesn't work?

The frustrating thing is, some users do get through and successfully download stuff. Maybe 10% of them. 75% "Couldn't Connect" and the rest are interrupted downloads for some reason.

well, shut my mouth.

Not ten seconds after my last post, somebody connected and is happily downloading a file right now.

(the one before this did fail, though, and that was after I had set the Push IP and restarted)

But then...

every attempted upload since then has failed.
