Connection Problems

Unfortnightly I am having problems with LimeWire connection, though i have updated all the necessary components to run the file and tweaked my internet settings oddly Lime wire just doesn't want to seem to connect to my internet. All it does is keep reading Connecting for about 30 minuets then it just quits trying to connect.

I am baffled by what I am to try next and was hoping someone who has also had this same problem could assist me.

P.S - when I first got LimeWire it only connected once, I got 4 songs and then the connection blew, ever since then I have been working on a way to resolve my problem.

Make sure that you're only using 1 software firewall (more than 1 will cause problems) & that LW's being allowed through it.

Try the advice here: all of a sudden will not connect (a fix to try)
Start off by deleting LW's preferences folder & changing Java versions.
You'll know if you've deleted the preferences folder properly...when you start LW, you'll go through the setup wizard again & all the settings within LW's options will have changed.
