![]() First off, I've tried everything in the sticked threads. The .net file, and the folder deleting, and the java update did not help. So I had to reinstall Vista, home premium 32 bit, onto my Dell Inspiron 1520. Once finished, I used the driver CD that came with my laptop, and got everything working. I thought so anyway. Heres the problem. I was testing stuff, like programs and so on, and i opened up Limewire, it would not connect/ froze each time. So i wanted to see if it was my computer, or the program. So i got other P2P programs but the same problem occurred. Now this laptop is networked with the PC that is also in this house, and i tried limewire on that computer, and it works fine. So im guessing its NOT my wireless router.(NETGEAR) The thing is that my internet connection also messes (i cant use the internet - wont connect) up when these programs are in use, idle or actually doing something.(If i only could get them do something-.-) Other then that theres no apparent problems. Oh and these programs, limewire , worked fine BEFORE i reinstalled vista, and this is whats leading me to think its a driver/program i forget to reinstall. So what im wondering is if there is a driver, a default one for example, that i forget to download? Any other suggestions for this would be greatly helpful. This has been bugging me for a few days now. PLEASE HELP ME! thanks, Nick [EDIT] - I also have tried disabling in the firewall, I use MCaFee Computer specs: 2gigs of ram, 100+ gigs of hard drive, etc. The computer is fine besides this problem. I live in Canada, if it has something to with the internet. Last edited by Nick11927; December 12th, 2007 at 01:15 PM. Reason: Forgot something |
