| Connection Problems Problems getting the LimeWire or WireShare program connecting to the Gnutella network.
(not about connecting to files, that is a Download/Upload Problems section issue.) Please supply system details as described in the forum rules.

 You must show all hidden files like so:- Note: These instructions are for Windows XP SP2 [1] Open windows explorer:- select Tools à Folder Options à View à Show hidden files and folders. [2] In windows explorer look for the Limewire Folder – go here:- c:\documents and settings\username\applications data\LimeWire (or) c:\documents and settings\username\limewire [3] Ensure that limewire is off completely - (check that it's not running in the system tray-bottom right) now open the .limewire folder and look for and delete the gnutella.net file  [4] Now download a new version and save it to your desktop - go here (gnutella.net) file [5] Now drag the new gnutella.net file from your desktop into the limewire folder. [6] Close the LW Folder and start up Limewire Hope this helps
