Connection problems

I am having some major problems connecting to Limewire. It just says starting connectionand it does have the globe with the brick wall in front of it. I have tried deleting the gnutella file and replacing it, I have uninstalled and reinstalled, I then upgraded to Pro, I made sure my exceptions were ok, I tried changing the listening port, I called my ISP and made sure they did not use a proxy. I also changed my jave uninstalled all and loaded 1.5 JRE offline. I have tried most everything on these forums yet I have had no luck. Someone please help. Thanks,
Bobby

Still no luck

I followed all steps and still had no luck. Although when I deleted the LimeWire folder, restarted and ran limewire it prompted me tocreate the folder again. Also how should I save the Gnutella file? Thanks,
Bobby

Try this:- (you must show all hidden files)
[1] Open windows explorer
select Tools à Folder Options à View à Show hidden files and folders.
[2] In windows explorer look for the Limewire Folder – go here:-
c:\documents and settings\username\applications data\LimeWire
(or)
c:\documents and settings\username\limewire

[3] Ensure that limewire is completely off (check that it isn't in the system tray-bottom right-if it is click on it and select exit)
now open the .limewire folder and look for and delete the gnutella.net file (see image below)

http://www.imagef1.net.nz/files/LW_g...1196869679.jpg
[4] download a new version from (here) and save it to yr desktop
[4] Drag the new gnutella.net file from your desktop into the limewire folder.
[5] Close the LW Folder and start up Limewire
