Unhappy Am I done before I began?

Hello whoever is out there!
I'm new at Limewire and I'm really excited about using it, but I think I'm behind a firewall. There is the little firewall icon in the corner, and whenever I search for files it says, "Limewire is currently connecting to the network. Your search may not return many results untill you are fully connected to the network." Is there anything I can do or am I just screwed?

Thanks
Paul,

Paul,
You haven't told us what yr OS is -- this fix is for windows XP SP2
Ok pse try this:- You must show all hidden files like so:-
[1] Open windows explorer:-
select Tools à Folder Options à View à Show hidden files and folders.
[2] In windows explorer look for the Limewire Folder – go here:-
c:\documents and settings\username\applications data\LimeWire
(or)
c:\documents and settings\username\limewire
[3] Ensure that limewire is completely off - (check that the LW icon is not in the system tray at bottom right-if so click on it and exit)
now open the .limewire folder and look for and delete the gnutella.net file

[4] Now download a new version of (gnutella.net)and save it to your desktop -
[5] Drag the new gnutella.net file from your desktop into the limewire folder.
[6] Close the LW Folder and start up Limewire

if this doesnt fix yr problem - pse click on the Limewire link in my signature (If LW will not connect) and work yr way through these fixes - if this still doesnt work pse click on the other links (connection problems) (connection troubleshooting)otherwise pse post yr system details here
