Make sure Limewire has full access through the Windows Firewall.

Remoc, I have tried to set up a static IP, but everytime I do I cannot search the internet. What am I doing wrong.

I finally got Limewire to connect by unistalling Norton Antivirus, I installed another anti-virus that does not block limewire now I am fully connecte.

Hutch, Glade you found a solution to the problem, but you said nothing about Norton when you gave the system details. I think a lot of the time the connection problems members have is simply due to their security set up and modem/routers. Good job

Hello---I'm Morty326 and I have been using limewire for 2.5 years and never had issues with connecting. I have the latest versions of java, limewire, and my OS is Vista. Just today, 3-10, I cannot establish a connection. PLEASE, PLEASE help. Is the network itself down? I have ALWAYS been able to connect until now. I even Uninstalled completely and reinstalled and still having connection issues. I'm running McAfee and haven't changed that in some time. Limewire WILL load and it even shows my files but the connection just sits in a lag state.

Is there a Brickwall in front of the Blue Globe?? Has anything changed with your ISP?? Could possibly be a Modem/Router issue.

There was a huge problem with Vista + Mcafee + Limewire several months ago.
