Connection troubles with vista
 

Here is the problem I have here I can not connect to limewire at all. Use to able to connect with my old modem until failed on me so got myself a new one and now it is not working here. I had this modem for atleast 1 month and works better the my old one.

8. What version of LimeWire (LW) & Java do you have? (Go to LW's menu Help>About LW...) Will show both LW & Java version.

9. Who is your ISP (Internet Service Provider)?

Experienced user - I used free version didn't work so tried pro and still same not working.

14. For those using a modem/router, how is your modem/router set up...are you port forwarding or is UPnP enabled?

pse cfm that yr mcafee antivirus has no firewall if it has -- disable the windows firewall and make an exception for LW in yr mcafee firewall -- if it hasn't ok -- also pse ck your add/remove programs to see that you only have 1 version of java script -- if more than one delete 1 version -- keep the most updated version -- now in Limewire Links (below) click on (If LW will not connect) and go through these fixes -- let us know how you get on

odd think was after posted this I some how got to work when gave 1 more stab at it and all before I went bed and all for night.

good to hear that you are connected once again even if it fixed itself
