not connecting

I just got a brand new labtop with Windows Vista on it and wanted to download Limewire pro. i didnt have any problems with that but then when it wont connnect i dont know what to do. So if you could help it would be great.

Make sure

you go to file and connect. I've done that then I try to search and nothing ever comes up? Any Advise would be sweet

I have never had a very long wait for connection but tonight I started Limewire 1.? and got message to ypdate to 1.6 or whatever. I did that but now can't get connected. I am XP Pro on a Fiber DSL that has worked before...

I tried rebooting but still doesn't connect

I tried a reboot and still can't get connections
