Same here. I have had LimeWire for years and loved it.
Until recently.
Beginning a week or so ago it stopped connecting, so I tinkered around with it and stuff and it never would connect. At the time I had the freeware version, so I figured maybe if I upgraded to the LimeWire Pro it would work, so I bought the Pro version and it still won't connect (DOH!) . I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling it, and I have read the FAQ. I use Trend Micro and it tells me that it is allowing Lime Wire to connect, but in the connection screen the longest connection time I've seen so far is about 15 seconds. The programs goes through this list of hosts for a minute or two, then when it can't establish a connection it quits trying.
Any help??

Oh, PS
I have a PC with Windows XP, cable modem and I'm on a wireless home network. All of this has been the same since before I experienced the problem with it not connecting.

10. Do this simple test for us. Using your browser go here: http://www3.limewire.com:6346/ The page should say 'Your test worked!'. What happens when you go there?
It says "Your Test Worked"

11. Are you sharing the connection with other computers or p2p sharing programs? If yes, please give details of set up.
There are four or five computers on the network, I am the only one with a P2P program.

12. Is this a your 1st try at LW or is this a new problem with an experienced user.
Been using it for a couple of years. Connection problem just started within the last few weeks.

Don't know, my wife set up and maintains the network.

I did this:
If you're using XP, look below.

Go to Control Panel > Folder Options > click on the View tab > put a dot in the circle next to ‘show hidden files and folders’ > apply > ok.

Go to Start > click on My Computer > double click on Documents and Settings > double click on the folder with your username > double click on Application Data. Now look for a folder named LimeWire. This folder named LimeWire is your preferences folder. You need to open the LimeWire folder by double clicking on it.

And there is no LimeWire folder in my App Data folder!! Is that bad?
