Try the fixes in the thread below. Start off by updating your Java version & if that doesn't help then go through the other fixes:) If LW Will Not Connect If nothing there helps, try to find out the model number of your Motorola (if nothing's showing on top of the router, have a look underneath). |
still not working I tried all the hints except 2 which I had no idea how to do (the gnutella.net one and the changing the port one) and I was scared to try to do cuz I didn't want to screw up my computer if it went wrong. I couldn't find preferences either in Limewire. I updated my Java and disconnected and reconnected Limewire. I unchecked Connect at startup My advanced option doesn't have anything to click on (performance) so I couldn't do that one. My motorolla has a bar code that says 49721081 is that the number you need? Please help! Thanks. |
1 Attachment(s) Go back to the thread that I linked to earlier. Take it slowly & follow the steps carefully - I tried to make those fixes as easy to follow as possible. Changing ports & deleting the gnutella.net file won't screw up your computer. If you can't find a preferences folder, remember that you have to show hidden files & folders first...otherwise you won't see the preferences folder. Are you sure you're looking in the right place for the advanced options in LW? Open LW, click on Tools, click on Options, scroll right down to the bottom of those options & you'll find Advanced. Click on Advanced & then you'll see Performance. Click on Performance & you'll be able to change the options. Click Apply & then OK to save the changes. Attachment 4171 The Motorola model will probably have some letters, followed by some numbers (eg SBG900 or WR850G) |
it seems to be working! I did the Options Advanced disable thing and it worked. THanks much. |
