Question only 3 connections at startup

Under the connections tab, there is a square to enter how many connections that limewire should try to establish ("keep approximately [x] connections up"), it's default setting is 3, which i changed to 8 (just couldn't leave it be).
The problem is that the next time(and all after) i started Lw it does not connect to 8, only 3, but its still set to 8, which of course is easily solved by entering 8 again.

it's a bit annoying, (i'm on a 10mbps line so bandwidth should be no prob.)

I just find it strange.

I have the same problem. LimeWire will not save the Keep Approximately XX Connections Up on the Connections tab. I am using Cable Modem and maximum allowed connections is 6 for me. The default is 3. But when I close LimeWire and start it up again it always goes to 3 connections even if 6 is entered. I always have to reenter the 6. This seems like a bug that can be easily fixed. Let's hope!
