ok, earlier today, i made my listen on port 65000. it didnt work.
i looked at my port now and its 6-----, something different than 65000.
i tried to look at my brothers listen on port, but when i went to tools/options, it wouldnt even bring up the window to see firewall settings. so idk what his port is.
and he uses an earlier version i believe 4.14 or 16.

another thing- i completly turned off windows firewall. (even though LW is an exeption) and restarted limewire, and it stillllll had 1 little green bar and a brick wall in front of the globe.

and i think i have Norton but i cant find it anyywhere in 'my computer'

Phex has a search results file size filter which is very handy. Phex also connects to many more Gnutella programs, whereas LW generally only finds other LW users. So you will have a good chance of finding those rarer files.
