Angry cannot connect

I am on a complete fresh install on a new/old machine.

Laptop blew up so I have to revert to the old desktop foir a while.

New system:

Pent 3 997mhx
512mb ram
19gb hdd
11.2gb free space

win xp pro sp3

isp
roadrunner through brighthouse
modem
toshiba
daz8821f

limewire 4.12.3
Java 1.6.0_11

mcafee personel firewall ver 10.0

I get the firewall symbol on limewire. I have the xp firewall off and have the mcafee firewall off but still see the firewall icon.

Turn your Windows firewall off. Put Limewire on your McAfee's firewall safe rule to let it pass through.

As for your toshiba, I had a look at the manual online & looks like a basic modem with no NAT protection or barrier. I would tend to recommend ethernet cable connection over USB for reliable bandwidth handling however.

Your gnutella.net file might be out of date. Try a combination of these suggestions: If LW Will Not Connect (click on the blue link)
