 rookie mac user I just got a new mac book yesterday, downloaded limewire today, and cannot connect. I am stuck in "starting connection" I check connections, and there have been no attempts even made. I have taken the firewall off of my wireless router, and the one on my computer is set to allow limewire to work (or so I think,) I have not used apple in about 15 years, so I'm a teeny bit rusty. I have restarted the computer, I'm at a loss and don't know what else to do. Computer version: mac osx 10.6.1 limewire 4.18.8 pro internet type is cable modem. Thanks! summer  |

| I am a touch curious why you chose LW 4 instead of 5 initially. However if you prefer LW 4 that's fine. For LW 4, see If LW 4 Will Not Connect (click on the blue link). You will most likely need to replace the Gnutella.net file for LW 4.  If still no good, if possible supply some more details, such as brand names & models of connection devices, etc.  |
