Confused LW 5.5.5 won't connect...

1. OS version? Windows XP
2. What firewalls you have? McAfee (LimeWire is allowed full access and I have even tried connecting with the firewall disabled) Windows firewall is turned off
3. How much ram? 480 MB
4.
Hard Disk space available? 29.2 GB
5. Connection type? Cable
6. Modem & router brand name & model numbers? Linksys WRT54Gv3
7. Where are you trying to connect from (house, appartment complex, school, student accomodation, work, etc.)? Apartment complex that comes with internet connection
8. What version of LimeWire (LW) & Java do you have? LimeWire 5.5.5 & Java 1.6.0_18
*It's very important that you tell us whether you're using LW 5*
9. Who is your ISP (Internet Service Provider)? Comcast
10. Do this simple test for us. Using your browser go here: http://www3.limewire.com:6346/ The page should say 'Your test worked!'. What happens when you go there? Page Cannot be Displayed
11. Are you sharing the connection with other computers or p2p sharing programs? No
12. Is this a your 1st try at LW or is this a new problem with an experienced user. I have been using LimeWire for about three months with no problems. As of a few days ago, it will not connect even though my internet is working properly.
13. (a) Do you see a brick wall in front of the blue world icon at the bottom of LW's interface (only for LW 4 users)? N/A_ (b) How many red or green bars do you see at bottom left of LW's screen? (all red or grey or only 1 or 2 green bars means disconnected) All grey and when I go to the connections page under Advanced Tools, it shows nothing. No connections or firewall information. If you're using LW5, there's no firewall icon. In LW go tools > advanced tools...there you'll see whether you're behind a firewall or not.

14. For those using a modem/router, how is your modem/router set up...are you port forwarding or is UPnP enabled? UPnP is enabled.

What security programs are you using (antivirus etc)? Only McAfee
16. What country are you living in? USA
17. Has anything in your setup changed recently? Have you updated your version of LW or Java? Have you added any new software or new hardware? Have you updated any software? Have you moved house, changed internet plan or ISP etc etc? Just the other day, I had to reset my router and set up the network again to be private. Other than that nothing has changed.


I have tried everything I can think of and have seen suggested here. Please, please help! I'm getting so frustrated. Thank you thank you!

FYI... after I posted this, I saw someone suggesting to uninstall LW and download the last version that you knew worked for you. I tried this and always got the message that the installation could not complete or was corrupted. Anyways, I've re-installed the latest version so in case it matters, I'm using LW 5.5.6.
