Then I searched all the forums and tried everything to fix it, still no luck. Here is the list of what I have tried: CHECKED FIREWALL DISCONNECT/RECONNECT LW UPDATE/REINSTALL JAVA UPDATE/UNINSTALL/REINSTALL LW CHANGE LISTEN ON PORT DELETE LIMEWIRE'S PREFERENCES FOLDER DISABLE ULTRAPEER CAPABILITIES, DHT & TLS If a "how to fix-it" was posted on this issue, I tried it. |

![]() What I suspect the issue is, is the dorm. Nowadays many if not most universities & their dorms block or shape p2p file sharing programs. What you can try is go to LW's menu bar, Tools -> Options -> Advanced, Firewalls. Set to manual port forward. Change port number to one between 49152 - 65535 for both connecting & listening through. You may need to restart LW after this. If this does not work, not too many options left unless you try proxies which can be complex & time consuming to set up & change. Alternatively, Phex is a less known gnutella program & might not be blocked. You could give it a try to see if it works connecting to those high port ranges. http://www.phex.org/wiki/index.php/Get_Phex Last edited by Lord of the Rings; August 25th, 2010 at 02:41 AM.
