When it was installed it would install a connection file from late 2010, then when LW opened, LW would immediately delete the connection file which suggests it definitely did not work. Nor did it appear to do what it was designed to do. There had been some doubts a couple of years ago it worked as it was supposed to. I only started to test it out in more recent times.
Just the Windows LPE Connection Fix alone there's about 100 downloads per day. I would imagine if more people used LimeStart this number will probably drop. BTW the connection fix should be good enough to use for several months, perhaps half a year or up to a year. The file it installs is dated many years in advance and there are many reliable hosts on the list whom are permanent network users.
