Uploads and Firewall settings

Hi

I can download stuff fine, but I have no uploads happening - and i actually want people to download some of my files. Anyone have any ideas on how to get this working

Anyway I set my firewall/gateway to do port forwarding of port 6346 (UDP and TCP - I think only TCP is necessary here?) to my internal address (192.168.x.x) same port. I know port forwarding works with these 2 boxes as I currently port forward ssh connections successfully.

My local machine is listening to port 6346
# netstat -na | grep -i listen
tcp 0 0 0.0.0.0:6346 0.0.0.0:* LISTEN

and I set the force local IP tick box in the limewire options, setting the ip to the external address of my gateway - this _should_ work fine - why doesnt it?

I have shared lots of files for a long time - but no downloads.

I spose I could fire up ethereal and see whats actually going on - does anyone know if ethereal decodes the gnutella protocol?

Thanks

Don

More

I notice in the file
~/.limewire/limewire.props

that

TTL=7
and
MAX_TTL=16

these values seem rather low - are they set the same in the windows client??

Could this possibly be the source of the problems?

Don't change those values, changing them will not have any effect, apart from some clients dropping your message because of a high TTL while LimeWire clients will reduce your TTL to the default value.
