I have used Napster, Bearshare, Morpeus etc. before and never experienced this problem.
Had computer crash 3 wks ago so I started over from scratch
Downloaded limewire about 1.5 wks ago --- works fine except
at least 90% of everything I download has skips -- any suggestions is it me or them?

if you are talking about audio skips it's how the person who recorded the mp3/audio file, usually due to poor computer equipment, do everyone a favor, move those files from your sharing folder.. I always delete them and download from another source.

I also have trouble playing back music. The skip happens all throughout the song; very annoying. What point is there to down-loading if you can't play the song without the constant skipping. Surely something can be done to correct this annoying problem. I usually delete all the songs I am trying to download because the skipping drives you nuts. Not happy!

the audio skips aren't from badly recorded files, they're corrupted from the swarming/resuming process. there's blank gaps in the file that weren't filled in & thus don't play right.

I was searching the old postings and used a suggestion;
TURN OFF the "LIMEWIRE" audio player and use your computers default player. Music Match is mine.............now I have no problems with the music unless it is a bad recording. which has only happened once in about 50 songs downloaded.
