Incomplete file not reloading on re-start

I am using Win ME. latest LW, and have a slight glitch, something keeps trying to open my connection to my ISP, even when it is already open.
This sometimes causes my connection to go down, when I close the 'connect to' window.

When this happens, the incomplete folder usually re-loads back into the download box of Limeware and all is O.K.
However it has not happened this one time. Is there any way that I can get my incomplete files back onto my download box, or do I have to do new searches, and download all over again, overwriting the partial file in the incomplete folder?

Did this happen after a crash, or did you close LimeWire properly?

If you want to continue downloading your incomplete files, search for the EXACT file name, and the EXACT file size, and just click download. If the file is the same, LimeWire will continue from the point it was closed (unless you deletes download.dat or the incomplete files).

Dear Dimagor,
Sorry to take so long to answer your kind response to my thread. Been busy doing DJ work.

We would like to close Lime wire properly, however, when the "connect to " dialog box opens, we close it, causing LW to crash on termination of the connection.

When we re-open LW the download box is empty. However you are right, the incomplete folder does have the partially downloaded files still there.

But how are we to know the file size, or the originator of the original music track that we are trying to download???? After all there are often ( but not always) so many versions of the same title.
Thanks for your help, we will try to reinstate the connection if we can find it.

Regards
Uncle G

Just manually search again for the file that you want to resume.
Then check the file name and the file size, to match the file name and file size of the incomplete file. To get the file size of the incomplete file look at it's name:

T-filesize-name.extension

the file size is written in bytes, convert them to kilobytes, and search.
Note: The file name is case sensitive.
The next version of LimeWire should support HASH (ability to identify identical files without file name).
