I want ot down load to my hardrive in order to burnb songs from Limewire. I have paid 9>50 for the new program and it does not allow me to do this?

Nobody has any idea what your problem is - you have given no information beyond the fact that you have a problem.

I recommend you read through the forums and see if anybody else has a problem that you recognise. You can also see what sort of questions get helpful answers.

Or you could elaborate on what your problem is and include relevant information.

e.g.
What operating system are you running?
What version of LimeWire are you using?
What version of Java are you using?
Do you have a firewall?
How far do you get when you run LimeWire?
What have you tried to do?

The more detail you include, the more likely that someone will be able to recognise your problem and perhaps give some advice on how to solve it.
