download to windows xp in windows xp (home version) there is "My Music" along with "My Docs", "My Pics" and "My Computer". What I would like to do is download directly into My Music. I went into Tools and chose the saved file path C:\My Music, but the downloaded music goes into library. Can someone help me? |
The library is not a location. It is just a browser within LimeWire. It should point to your download location (and any other folders that you've chosen to share). If you have set Tools|options|Saving|directory to C:\My Music then that should be where your downloaded files are going. Have you checked that directory? Mark |
Thank you for the clarification in re to the library and I have checked My Music and the limewire files are not there. |
Have you looked in Program Files\LimeWire\... and found the shared folder there? Are you files in it? Have you searched your entire computer for a file you know you have downloaded? [open up windows explorer, click on my computer, press F3, type in the name of the file you are looking for (or part thereof), press return] If you find the file, where is it? Since the file shows up in the library it *is* somewhere on your computer. Mark |
Thank you again. Going thru Explorer it came up in C:\Music. However when I go from Start to My Music it is not shown. That is how I would like to access the file/music. Can you help in that regard? |
I can access the lime wire files fro windows media player mmy music but i cannot access from start my music. why not? |
